You Thought Motherhood Would Feel Different.

Matrescence coaching for women navigating identity shifts in motherhood.

If you don't feel like yourself after becoming a mom, you're not alone. What feels like an identity crisis is often something deeper, an identity shift in motherhood known as matrescence.

You're Not Broken.

You're Becoming.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed.

Maybe you can't remember the last time you felt fully like yourself.

Many women describe it as feeling lost after becoming a mom.

Something shifted...and you can't quite name it.

You miss parts of who you used to be. You feel the pull toward growth, ambition, something beyond survival — but you don’t know how it fits into this version of your life.

That longing isn’t selfish.
And questioning doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It's information. A sign of change.

There's a Name for What You're Experiencing.

Becoming a mother is not just a role shift. It is a psychological and identity transformation known as matrescence.

Just as adolescence reshapes identity once, matrescence reshapes it again.

Many women describe it as feeling lost after becoming a mom, but it is actually a normal developmental transition. And when we understand it, everything begins to make more sense.

Meet Mary

I discovered the word matrescence while navigating my own identity shift in motherhood. Beneath the constant going and responsibility was a quieter ache, a sense that I had lost parts of myself and couldn’t quite remember who I was anymore.

As a certified Matrescence Coach and educator, I guide women navigating this identity shift in motherhood — women who feel lost, overwhelmed, or quietly longing for more — with language, structure, and grounded support.

This work isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about understanding who you are becoming. And feeling at home in yourself, with clarity and calm.

When You're Ready to Understand What's Changing...

You don’t need clarity yet.

You only need to recognize that something feels different — and be willing to explore it.

The 4-Session Container is a grounded space for women navigating this identity shift in motherhood.

Over four intentional conversations, we slow down.
We name what’s shifting.
We untangle what feels disorienting.

We reconnect you to who you are becoming.

Not by fixing yourself.
By understanding yourself.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

If you’re unsure whether this work is right for you, you’re welcome to schedule a connection call.

A simple conversation to explore what’s shifting and see if this work feels aligned.

You Can Exhale

You are not lost.
You are not broken.
You are not alone.

Motherhood reshaped you.

You don’t need to go back to who you were.

What feels like confusion may actually be an identity shift in motherhood — and you don’t have to navigate it on your own.

There is space for clarity.
There is room for calm.
There is more of you still unfolding.

If something in you feels ready, even quietly, begin there.
