You Thought Motherhood Would Feel Different.
You love your children.
You're doing everything you're supposed to be doing.
And yet, something still doesn't feel right.
Maybe you've tried getting more help, creating better routines, taking care of yourself, or simply waiting for the next season to feel easier.
But the relief never seems to last.
My Matrescence offers support for the woman experiencing motherhood.
A space to slow down, understand what you're carrying, and hear yourself again.

Sometimes the support you need isn't more help with parenting.
Childcare. Meals. Routines. Schedules. Sharing the load.
These things matter. They can make motherhood more manageable.
But you can have help with all of them and still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what you need.
Because there is support with parenting, and there is support for you within motherhood.
Sometimes what you need isn't another solution. It's space to say what's true, understand your experience, and notice what you need from here.

There's a name for what you're experiencing, and it matters.
Becoming a mother changes more than your day-to-day life. It can shift how you see yourself, what you need, what you value, and how you move through the world.
This ongoing transition is called matrescence.
Understanding matrescence can give language to experiences that are often hard to explain. Not because everything needs to be fixed, but because sometimes understanding what you're experiencing changes how you hold it.
Meet Mary
I found matrescence at a time when, from the outside, I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to be doing.
I loved my children. I had help. I was exercising and taking care of myself. And still, something inside me didn't feel settled.
Learning about matrescence gave me language for an experience I hadn't known how to explain. More importantly, it helped me stop searching for the next thing to fix and start listening to what was actually happening within me.
Today, as a matrescence coach, educator, and facilitator, I create that kind of space for other mothers. A place to speak honestly, understand what you're experiencing, and hear yourself more clearly.

Find the kind of support that feels right for you.
